The Faces of Trickster

Stephanie Mufson- Head Trickster, Curator, Director

In 2004, Stephanie moved to San Francisco with something of a mission: to thrive creatively, connect with bold and artistic community, and to prove to herself and nay-sayers everywhere that Magic and Fantasy are a perfectly sensible foundation upon which to build a life.

Since her arrival she has stuck to the plan. A prolific creator of paintings, drawings, jewelry and events, Stephanie began the Trickster project in early 2010 as a method of total creative integration. To learn more about the grand plan and wild eyed optimism behind this endeavor, refer to the Trickster Philosophy

Kate Moore - Social Media guru, Assistant Trickster

Eternal traveler and follower of Hermes, Kate has traveled the world as a 'Jill of all Trades' in art, history, and education. Her adventures have taken her to places far from her native Indiana as the Middle East and back to the States finally landing in San Francisco in 2010 (joining the Trickster community in 2011).

Along with the worldly travels, Kate dances, makes jewelry, entertains the masses and brings interesting conversation to any party.

Michael - House Manager

Michael identifies strongly with Tanuki, a Japanese Trickster spirit. Like Tanuki, he believes that life is best handled with eyes wide open to be aware and present, steadiness and strength in the face of obstacles, calm decisiveness, a friendly smile, and of course, a nice hat to protect your head.

At Trickster, he revels in being an enabler in all the good ways, allowing the passion and emotion of all the wonderful artists and performers to flow back and forth between themselves and the guests. As a member of Mission Control's core crew, he manages the venue and the staff from setup to cleaning, making sure everything goes according to plan...or at least as much as anything ever does, at Trickster."

Neil Martinson- Co-Curator

For over a decade, Neil Martinson has booked, promoted, hosted, and DJed his regular night SMiLE! -- SF's longest running DJ/live music night -- which led to him being awarded "BEST DJ" in the SF Weekly in 2004. In addition to being Musical Director of the annual Mission Creek Music & Arts Festival, and publishing a sporadic magazine called PROOF, he has curated numerous art shows (mostly at CBGBs 313 Gallery), and is excited to be co-curator of Trickster Artist's Salon.

Lily – Volunteer Coordinator

Lilith Ransom is a tricky girl.  Born in San Francisco, but raised in the sandy beaches of Santa Cruz, she has danced, choreographed and taught her way across the the world, performing in places like New York, Austria, Germany and Euro Disney.  Now resting her feet and finding new ways to live, she's working on her Psychology degree and helping to create more mischief and creativity around her through the best way she knows how – by sheer living.

Named after the trickster demoness, Lilith – she never fails to realize that her walk of life brings forth mystery and excitement.  No matter what she does, she can't shake the feeling that there are more than just a few things out there just waiting to be discovered.

At Trickster, Lilith strives to create cooperation and streamlined activity for all participants at every lovely event.  She loves to pour herself into every project she has, and Trickster is the perfect crucible to effectively transmutate all of her shiny affections into a tangible reality.

Rusky ( aka Julia O. Test)- Official Trickster Salon Photographer

Rusky is a San-Francisco-based photographer who specializes in
on-location portraiture, fetish, and events photography, as well as
digital art. She began her journey into photography over a decade ago
with the help of a talented friend who opened her eyes to the
possibility of using photography as a form of emotional expression.
She quickly moved from shooting stills to shooting people, realizing
that her passion lies in the inspiration she receives from the honesty
and vulnerability of human emotion, as well as capturing the true
feeling of a moment in a snapshot.

Rusky's journey has always involved the wayward path, the raw animal
self, and the search for fulfilling merriment, and she's ecstatic to
be part of the Trickster spirit and to capture your movement through
this experience.
